Our Story

Jon & Jennifer grew up with horses, roping and racing in the Sonoita area since the 1970's. Jon went to the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park New York, and has 25+ years of kitchen experience. Jennifer has 25+ years experience in dining room management and loves to make every guest feel like a cherished friend. Donn, is a retired school teacher from Sierra Vista and keeps a large green house and straw bale garden behind the restaurant. Donn will be happy to tell you all there is to know about us, the local wineries, and the history of the area. We wanted to bring all the experience, talent and great food and wine together for a place everyone can come to and feel right at home. Our food isn't fussy or pretentious. Our prices are very reasonable, and our wine and beer list is one of the very few in Arizona that is Arizona only. Jon, Jennifer and Donn own a small 14 acre piece of Elgin not far from the restaurant planted with Petit Verdot, Carignan, Tannat and Cabernet Sauvignon.
